Venue:
Trealy Farm (near Ross on Wye, Wales), The practice of the wild.
Trealy Farm is a wonderful venue in a beautiful setting. Here
we can immerse ourselves in a space where there is no judgement and everything
belongs. There will be time to explore the woodland and spaces the farm offers,
including the natural swimming pool and sauna.
At this time many of us are experiencing the effects of profound
disconnection, in ourselves and in relationship to each other and the planet,
manifesting in the climate crisis, and in individual suffering.
In Western culture, guilt and shame shape our
morality and with it our relationships to each other and the earth. Shame is a
powerful emotion, felt in both body and mind. It contracts us, creating an
invisible barrier between ourselves and the world around us. When shame is used
to control behaviour, it cuts us off from Eros, the life force, and from love,
and this disconnection shows up in destructive ways. Without the guidance of the
heart we become mind driven, searching for rules or some outside authority to
guide our behaviour.
On Saturday, drawing on family constellations work, we create a ritual space
free of duality, and judgement, where nothing is split into good or bad, and
everything belongs.
In this space Eros, the life force, can
move through each of us, dissolving guilt and shame, making room for the flow
of love. This opens us to our own internal authority found in the heart.
On Sunday morning we will have the benefit of having the unique opportunity
of working with the horses on the farm, who are able to deeply sense and pay
attention to what might be going on way beyond what we think we know, in
exciting and powerful ways.
Later on Sunday there will be time to go out into nature and connect to
the depth of the welsh countryside. Followed by a group meeting to
integrate and close the weekend.
Ruth Tudor is the host at Trealy Farm. She
is an experienced facilitator and runs a variety of trainings in her own right
As well as offering others the opportunity to run courses and retreats at
Trealy Farm. Each morning there will be a meditation with one or more of the
horses in the arena, and on Sunday morning Ruth will facilitate each of us to
connect with a horse of our choice. This non verbal connection can be profound
and deeply moving. The sessions with the horses are optional.
The workshop will be limited to 16 participants, places will be allocated on
a first come first serve basis. There are several options for accommodation
depending on preference and budget.
We hope that the weekend proves to be nourishing, fulfilling, relaxing and
fun. We will also explore ways to keep our hearts open and the flame of love
alive when you return home.
